2-day tour to nature phenomenon Belogradchik rocks, handmade carpets` center town of Chiprovtsi, Magura cave and adventure in west Balkan range region.
Day – 1
Departure at 8.30 from Sofia through magnificent Petrohan pass. Arrival to town of Chiprovtsi about 12 a.m. Demonstration of old traditions in carpet craft and possibility to buy original handmade carpet. Lunch in a village house. Transfer to town of Belogradchik.Giant conglomerate, sandstone and limestone formations make up the Belogradchik rocks in fantastic shapes with scarlet, gray and buff colors. The miracle of nature has been shaped by rains, molded by rivers and chiseled by winds for more than 200 millions of years, turning the stone into sculptures, mythical beings and people, beasts and birds. Visit to a fortress near the town and free time. Dinner and overnight in “Madona” hotel.
Day – 2
Breakfast and transfer to Magura cave. One of the most interesting caves in Bulgaria because of the possibility to see prahistorical cave paintings. Picnic near Rabisha lake visit to the BabaVida fortress on Danube River in town of Vidin. Transfer to Sofia. Arrival about 10 p.m.
